1. Avoid consumption or exposure to products that stain your teeth, such as: coffee, tea, and red wine. If you choose to continually consume these beverages, try using a straw to bypass your front teeth.
2. Brush or rinse your teeth immediately after consuming stain-causing foods and beverages.
3. Brush your teeth at least twice daily, and floss at least once daily. Use a whitening toothpaste once or twice a week only to remove surface stains. Use regular toothpaste the rest of the time.
4. Consider touch-up treatments. Depending on your whitening method, you may need a touch-up every six months. This can be with store bought treatment kits or through teeth whitening clinics.
